Why Professional Handyman?
What sets me apart

1. Local and independent, not a franchise:

I am a local handyman, completely independent, Professional Handyman is not a franchise.

I'm not beholden to some corporate structure or bound to some fee schedule. I don't have to pay a parent company any residuals.

This arrangement keeps my cost at a minimum, allowing me to pass those savings on to the customer.

2. Highly reviewed:

With over 200+ reviews with an average of 4.9 out of 5 stars, my customers like the way I operate.

And you can rest assured that our time together will be a 5 star experience for you too, guaranteed.

3. One man operation:

As a one man operation there will be no communication errors between the owner, the scheduler, the estimator, and the tradesman.

Because I am all the those things. When you call, it's me who answers and it's me who will be performing all the work.

The buck stops with me.

4. My 5 point pledge:

-keep our scheduled appointment
-communicate clearly
-show up on time
-offer competitive pricing
-deliver the highest quality work

This pledge came about as a result of my own frustration with subcontractors I hired during my time before Professional Handyman. Things they didn't always do.

5. Well equipped:

I work out of a 16' enclosed trailer that I custom built just for handyman work.

Not only is it well stocked and organized with the best tools and materials, but it also has power, running water, and a kitchenette. A little home away from home.

6. 1 year warranty

All work I do is backed by a 1 year workmanship warranty. A true professional stands by his work.

7. Free "how to" advice

That's right. No catches. Free to existing customers and future customers alike.

I applaud the industrious types and will gladly offer them tips on how to tackle some repairs themselves.
My Business
A little bit about me

My name is Chad Walker. I'm the owner operator of Professional Handyman.
I grew up in Cornelius N.C. and attended North Mecklenburg High School, later earning a B.A. in sociology from the University Of North Carolina at Charlotte.

A licensed general contractor since 2006, I have mostly done larger scale projects since then. As a favor to some of my customers I occasionally did handyman work for them. The more I did this, the more I came to appreciate the simplicity of daily work.
Gone were the worries of laborers, subcontractors, building inspectors, and impossible schedules.
Now I do handyman work exclusively and I'm happier for it.
A Zen filled life.
